• FICC life Award for Manoel de Oliviera

Manovel de Oliviera received the “Don Quijote”prize from IFFS (FICC)international federation of Film Society.
Manovel de Oliviera is from Portugal and he is 98 years old. Since 1990s he had made different kinds of film. He was started film making in 1931 and he had also experienced participating in car race. Manovel de Oliviera who called as a critical good film maker within the last century, he has received several honorary prizes like Lugarno, Tokyo and Chicago.

The “Don Quijote” prize of FICC(Italian federation of Film society) has gave to Manovel de Oliviera by Afghan young film maker Malek Shafi'i. In this festival 28 representative from countries participated and presented 32 films in this festival.

The film of “To the Parliament” made by Malek was also presented and welcomed from visitors' .Malek Shafi'i almost 8 years who makes film. Up to now he has made 29 short films documentary and artistic.

The FICC(Italian federation of Film society) film festival is established 8 years ago. The director is Mr.Paulo Minoto. This festival was hold in Matera city which contents sixty thousand people in the south of Italy.
Addition to the festival and visiting some historical places, the annual association of social film world also held. Endly a new director appointed from Spain to this organization.

Malek Shafi'I is giving the prize for Manovel de Oliviera

Simultaneously there was also presenting documentary film of “Pamir Territory” and “end of the land” made by Malek Shafi'i in international festival of Islamic TV in Esfahan.
This festival holding every year in different countries. On the side of festival there was also a debate about media. Mohammad Haidari participated in this festival on behalf of director. This was the first time Afghanistan taking participation to this festival.
