The first Afghan and foreign short film festival has finished in Kabul a few days before.
In this festival 23 film were presented from Afghanistan, Germany and France. The “end of the earth” (intihayee zamin) which was made by Abdul Malik Shafeyee an Afghan young film maker has selected the first best film in competition. “Shabnam” was another film which was selected the best film from TV viewers directed by Mohammad Haidari.
The festival of Afghan and foreign short film held in French cultural center in Kabul from 17th to 22nd of June and the results were announced on 29th of June.

The founder of this festival were; Goethe Institute, French cultural center, German-France TV Arte and Toloo TV. The competition was judging by Mohsen Makhbalbaf an Iranian famous film maker Sediq Barmak an Afghan film maker.
The “end of the earth” which selected the first winner of this festival was made "between" 1999 to 2002 in Iran, Greece, Italy, Netherlands and Afghanistan. The theme of this film faces the situation of Afghan refugees before September 11, simultaneously September 11 and after that. The film made by personal expenses of film maker and yet joined in several international festivals. At last it needs to mention that this is the only film which is made about September 11.
